Pilot's FriXion series of erasable pens is a game changer! They developed a unique thermo-sensitive ink that looks as vibrant as regular gel ink, and flows as smoothly, but if you make a mistake, it also erases clean!
FriXion uses the same thermo ink inside their erasable highlighters to create your new note-taking best friend. FriXion Light highlighters in Soft Color feature chisel tips and light pastel colors that highlight without harsh fluorescent pigments. Each pen has a cap that snaps tightly shut, and a rubber friction eraser, which unlike regular erasers, create no eraser dust. The friction produced by rubbing the eraser against the ink is what causes the ink to 'disappear'.
As its name suggests, thermo-sensitive ink reacts to extreme temperatures. When it's exposed to heat above 140 degrees F, the ink becomes colorless, or 'erased'. Cooling the ink back down to 14 degrees F will restore the color.
FriXion pens are perfect for taking notes but not recommended for signing documents, or writing on packages and envelopes which might be exposed to heat.
